About Us Management Team
Our Management Team is comprised of three dedicated staff who have been involved in the Internet industry since 1996.
Phillip Britt Managing Director
Phillip was one of the original founders of Wideband Networks and incorporated the company in July 2001. After working and owning businesses in the internet industry for over 12 years, he perceived a growing need to extend broadband access into regional and rural areas of Australia: a need that Aussie Broadband now fulfils.
Having worked in the ISP industry at management level since 1996, he has gained extensive experience in both the technical and management challenges of the telecommunications industry. Phillip has led the deployment of the company’s ADSL2+ infrastructure and plays a key part in new product development.
Phillip was appointed Managing Director of Aussie Broadband in July 2008, when Westvic & Wideband Merged to create Aussie Broadband, and is responsible for the overall management and growth of the business.
John Reisinger Network Operations Manager
John is responsible for Aussie Broadband’s IP Networks, server infrastructure, billing activities and customer management systems.
John co-founded Wideband Networks with Phillip.
John has developed billing systems to integrate the usage information generated by the ADSL Networks into the billing systems used by his previous employer. The time line for the integration was very short and John developed a system that seamlessly allowed single billing to occur.
John has seven years’ experience in billing applications for Internet solutions and understands the critical nature of ‘Getting it right first time’.
John’s team includes software developers, along with specialists in Unix systems, Cisco Routing and MPLS.
John holds a Bachelor of Computing.
Ian Watson Infrastructure Manager
Ian has worked in the communications and computer industry for over 30 years. After gaining qualifications in Electronics, Computer and Network Engineering. In 2004, Westvic Broadband Pty Ltd was registered and Ian as a founding Director became focused on development in this Company of a wireless communication network to deliver broadband Internet services to a wide geographical area in rural Western District of Victoria. In 2007 Ian registered .Aussie Broadband as a trading name for the delivery of satellite broadband services throughout Australia. Aussie Broadband was subsequently registered as a Company and became the main Company of the merged Westvic Broadband and Wideband Networks group. Ian’s role in the Aussie Broadband group of Companies is as Director and Infrastructure manager.
Ian has been a member of the International service club Rotary since 2004 and has served as a board member, bulletin Editor, District 9780 Conference committee member, special event committee member and is a committed Rotarian.
