About ADSL
Aussie Broadband’s ADSL is a broadband service delivered over your existing phone line. We can provide this service to most customers connected to an enabled ADSL exchange in Victoria, New South Wales or Queensland, and we provide a range of speeds and plans to suit most users.

What do I need to get ADSL Broadband?
A Phone Line
To have ADSL broadband enabled you will need an active phone service at your premises. Your ADSL service is linked to the phone line and if you make any changes to your phone service in the future this may affect your broadband. We recommend contacting us before you make any changes to your phone line once you have connected with us.
Broadband Modem or Router
To use ADSL broadband you will need an ADSL compatible modem or router. Your ADSL modem from a previous provider may be compatible, or Aussie Broadband can supply a range of pre-configured and tested ADSL routers and ADSL wireless routers so you can use devices such as laptops anywhere around the house.
The routers supplied by Aussie Broadband come with a full advanced replacement warranty. If any problems arise, we will send you a new router: there is no delay while waiting for your faulty one to be repaired. Aussie Broadband provides this warranty and you won’t need to deal with the modem manufacturer.
Line Filter
A line filter is required on all phone devices, such as answering machines, faxes, phones and other items. Line filters keep your broadband service and your phone line separate. If you have a ‘back to base’ alarm system, you will need a central splitter professionally installed. We recommend that your alarm company does this.
Aussie Broadband provides a free line filter with every ADSL router purchased through us.
