Aussie Broadband Satellite
We are writing to advise that Aussie Broadband has entered into a sale of business agreement with SkyMesh Pty Ltd. SkyMesh will purchase Aussie Broadband’s Satellite business on 30th April 2010.
As a result, all Aussie Satellite customers will be transferred to SkyMesh on 1st May 2010. Aussie Broadband will work with SkyMesh to ensure a smooth transition. Most importantly, SkyMesh has committed to provide the same quality of service and will continue to honour the Aussie Plans and pricing and our customer terms.
As your service was provided under the Australian Broadband Guarantee program, Aussie Broadband was required to obtain approval from the Department of Broadband, Communications & Digital Economy to transfer our obligations under the program to SkyMesh. This approval has been granted.
We would like to stress that you are not under any obligation to transfer your Aussie Satellite service to SkyMesh. Under the Australian Broadband Guarantee rules, you are free to make other arrangements for an alternative broadband service. The Department’s Broadband Service Locator has information about service options in your area.
If other non-satellite services are not available, you still have the option of transferring to another IPSTAR satellite broadband provider. The Department will not offer a new subsidy payment for these services and you will not be covered by the service requirements of the Australian Broadband Guarantee. If you agree to transfer to SkyMesh you will retain your rights under the program and any remaining equipment warranty.
This sale only affects Aussie Satellite services and Satellite VoIP services. If you have other products with Aussie Broadband, such as home phones or ADSL, these services will continue to be provided and billed by Aussie Broadband.
