Is this your first time buying broadband?

To get your new broadband service up and running, you'll need the following in your home:

  • A Phone Line
An active phone line so that your broadband equipment can connect to the Internet. Here at Aussie, we offer extra benefits for bundling your home phone and broadband service together. Check out our home phone plans.
  • Broadband Modem
To use broadband you'll need a modem, which is the device that connects you to the Internet. If you're coming from an existing provider your current modem may be compatible, or Aussie Broadband can supply a range of pre-configured and tested modems.
  • Line Filter
This little device prevents your broadband service from dropping out when you make phone calls. A line filter is required for all answering machines, faxes, phones and other devices that are connected to your phone line. We will send you a line filter if you purchase a modem from us.

Things you need to know

  • Both uploads and downloads count towards your monthly data allowance.
  • Should you need to relocate your service within the first 6 months of it being activated, a relocation fee of $99 will apply.
  • ADSL2+ is not available in all areas and may not be compatible with your phone line. We will advise you if your line is incompatible and you will not incur any fees should we be unable to activate your line.
