What’s it all about?
Superstar NBA player LeBron James steps into the shoes of Michael Jordan, headlining this long-awaited sequel to the ’90s classic. LeBron and his young son, Dom, get trapped in digital space by a rogue AI. To get home safely, LeBron teams up with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang for a high-stakes basketball game against the AI’s digitized champions of the court.

What’s it all about?
Spirit Untamed is the next instalment in the beloved animated franchise from DreamWorks Animation – a spinoff from the 2002 feature, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002) and based on the Netflix animated series Spirit Riding Free. It follows former city-girl Lucky (voiced by Isabella Merced, Dora and the Lost City of Gold) who moves to a small frontier town where she befriends two young horseback riders and forms an unbreakable bond with a wild mustang named Spirit.

What’s it all about?
In Mr Inbetween, series creator and star Scott Ryan reprises the role of Ray Shoesmith – a character he created for the 2005 feature film, The Magician. Ray is a hitman for hire who makes a life out of balancing his criminal activities with his obligations to friends and family. He tries to be a father to Brittany (Chika Yasumura), a loving boyfriend to Ally (Brooke Satchwell), and a good caretaker to his terminally ill brother Bruce (Nicholas Cassim). Ray follows his boss Freddy’s (Damon Herriman) orders without question and his violent behaviour starts to take its toll on his relationships.

9 Perfect Strangers

The biggest premiere on Amazon Prime Video this August is headlined by Nicole Kidman and features an incredible cast including Melissa McCarthy, Luke Evans, Samara Weaving and Michael Shannon. Based on the best-selling book by Liane Moriarty, Nine Perfect Strangers takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation for the guests who stay there. The resort, however, is not what it seems as the nine guests begin to discover secrets about each other and the resort’s host Masha (Kidman).

New Mark Wahlberg sci-fi/action thriller Infinite comes to Fetch this month on the exciting new streaming service Paramount+. The twisting plot focuses on a man (Wahlberg) who, haunted by memories of places he’s never visited, joins forces with a group of reborn warriors to stop a madman from destroying the endless cycle of life and reincarnation.

Paramount+ launched in Australia on August 11, offering a new streaming service with extraordinary depth across multiple huge brands. Content available at launch has been sourced from Paramount Pictures, Showtime, MTV, Nickelodeon and more.

Tentpole premieres on the service are the second season of hit Australian comedy, Five Bedrooms, gritty drama series Coyote starring Michael Chiklis, and the second season of Why Women Kill.
