The Personal History of David Copperfield
Take Charles Dickens’ classic novel and give it a modern twist and you’ve got The Personal History of David Copperfield. It’s an ode to grit and perseverance through the comedic lense of award-winning filmmakers Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell (responsible for Veep and In The Loop). This new adaptation gives the Dickensian tale new life for a new age with a diverse ensemble cast that includes Dev Patel, Peter Capaldi, Hugh Laurie and Tilda Swinton.
What’s it all about?
The Personal History of David Copperfield is set in the 1840s and chronicles the life of David Copperfield as he navigates a chaotic world and tries to find his place within it. From his gloomy childhood to the discovery of his talents for storytelling and writing, David’s journey takes turns being hilarious and tragic, but is always full of life and humanity.

Featuring some of the biggest and best British TV and film stars including Jodie Comer, Martin Freeman, Kristin Scott-Thomas, Lesley Manville and Imelda Staunton. This star-studded cast has remade ten of Alan Bennet’s widely-celebrated Talking Heads monologues, plus two new monologues Bennet wrote in 2019. Talking Heads first aired on BBC Television in 1988 and 1998, breaking ground of television.

Outback Opal Hunters (Season 5)
You’ve already found a gem of an internet provider, so you must be pleased that Outback Opal Hunters is back for another season!
Follow the beloved teams as they continue their hunt across three states. It’s a daily struggle to find the elusive gemstone under the harsh and remote Australian desert landscape. You’ll meet some new faces in this latest season, and one of the teams returns to the opal mecca – Coober Pedy.

Brave New World
Based on the 1932 novel by Aldous Huxley and featuring a cracking cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich, Demi Moore, Harry Lloyd and Jessica Brown Findlay, Brave New World will be your new favourite series! It’s a thought-provoking, nine-part drama series that depicts a utopian society that has achieved peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money, family, and history itself. However, with perfection comes questions and the residents start to wonder why they have to abide by those rules. This mentality puts their whole way of life on the line.

The Haunting of Bly Manor
Looking for a new fave horror series? Just in time for Halloween is the sequel to the 2019 Netflix series, The Haunting of Hill House. Much of the creative team and cast have returned, including the creator and director Mike Flanagan, known for Doctor Sleep.
What’s it all about?
After an au pair’s (nanny’s) tragic death, Henry hires an American replacement to care for his orphaned niece and nephew. The new nanny joins them in Bly Manor with the chef Owen, groundskeeper Jamie, and housekeeper Mrs. Grose.
Available to stream on Netflix from October 9^.
The Trial of the Chicago 7
Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin (from The West Wing, The Social Network, Steve Jobs), this critically-acclaimed legal drama follows a group of anti-Vietnam protesters charged with conspiracy in late 1969. They’re charged for crossing state lines with the intention of inciting riots at the 1968 Democratic convention in Chicago. We’ve said this a lot this month, but The Trial of the Chicago 7 features an all-star cast such as Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Sacha Baron Cohen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, Eddie Redmayne, Mark Rylance and Jeremy Strong.
