What is Fixed Wireless?

Fixed Wireless technology helps to connect customers in remote areas to the nbn™. Fixed Wireless installation requires an appointment where nbn™ outdoor antenna is installed and fitted to the roof by an approved nbn™ installer. The antenna connects to a nbn™ device installed inside of the premises. Data is then transmitted over radio signals on the broadband access network. The nbn™ device has four Uni-D ports, but we only use one used to connect your router with an ethernet cable. Fixed Wireless speeds vary on several different factors.

Note: Fixed Wireless connections require an NTD (Network Termination Device) installed at the premises. If you do not have an NTD, please contact your agent, landlord, or our team on 1300 880 905.
