What to expect during your installation
During your installation appointment, the nbn® technician will:
- Review the external nbn® infrastructure and perform any civil works required, such as clearing of any blockages in the pathway leading to your property.
- Perform some non-invasive construction activities, such as hand digging to access your current line and remove blockages.
- Install the fibre lead-in where required.
- Determine where to install the external conduit on the outside of the premises, then perform the install.
- Determine where to install the Network Connection Device (NCD) on an interior wall (Note: this may be in a different location to your current NCD, and will need to be as close as possible to the external conduit).
They will endeavour to make the installation as non-invasive as possible, and will always check in with you before performing any additional works.
