To access speeds up to 1000/1000Mbps, your router must have a gigabit WAN port and be DHCP-configured.

If you choose our managed Cisco 1100 series router, we'll supply the correct model with pre-configured ports tailored to your setup. Alternatively, if you prefer to use your own router, please refer to its setup documentation. Our team is happy to assist with configuration.

The installation of your business nbn® Enterprise Ethernet service involves several key steps, coordinated by your service provider and an nbn® approved construction partner.

• Confirm Your Details

  Ensure your business name, full address (including unit or shop number), and site contact information are accurate. Your service provider will be your main point of contact throughout the process.

• Equipment Installation

  Your premises will be fitted with a Business nbn® Network Termination Device (BNTD), either standard or high-speed, based on your service provider's recommendation. They'll confirm installation placement and any special requirements.

• Site Survey Visit

  An nbn® approved construction partner will contact you to schedule a site survey. A site contact must be available to approve equipment placement and provide access. This person should be authorised to make decisions about installation.

• Site Preparation

  Construction may be required in common areas, so be sure to liaise with your building manager early. Ensure the communications room is accessible, clutter-free, and has space for wall or rack-mounted equipment. If rack-mounted, the rack must be supplied by you.

  A standard power outlet is required within 1 metre of the equipment. Ideally, this should be a dedicated outlet for nbn® use. If one isn't available, notify your construction partner prior to installation as one will need to be installed beforehand.

• Site Survey Appointment

  The site survey typically takes 30-90 minutes and won't disrupt your current services. Share any access requirements (e.g. inductions) when booking. During the visit, you'll confirm equipment placement and discuss installation details such as power points, drilling, clearance etc.

• Installation

  Your construction partner will finalise the design and schedule installation. On the day, ensure site access and have your site contact present. The team will install the equipment, complete any necessary construction, and perform on-site testing.

• Connection

  Once installation is complete, your service provider will finalise any remaining setup and confirm when your service is ready to use. For further assistance, contact your chosen nbn® Enterprise Ethernet provider.
