Symbio now offers Australian customers the ability to choose to enable dual voice carrier network redundancy using the voice networks of Symbio and Aussie Broadband.

Both Symbio and Aussie Broadband operate fully independent VoIP networks. With dual-network access, customers can be confident in continuous service availability. If one network ever experiences congestion or downtime, traffic can be easily redirected to the alternate network. Best of all, customers are in complete control of how and when traffic is routed, giving them both flexibility and peace of mind.

On top of that, customers can choose which network serves as the primary and which acts as the backup. Alternatively, a customer can choose to share traffic across both networks, with a key benefit being not having to manage multiple local carrier relationships.

“Symbio is one of the few Australian carriers to offer two fully independent VoIP networks under one relationship,” said Symbio Connect CEO Dylan Brown. “Whether you operate nationally or globally, this dual offering is the new benchmark for resilient, carrier-grade voice services.”

“With this capability available under a single provider, customers gain unmatched flexibility, geographic diversity, and resilience across Australia without the complexity of managing multiple carriers.”

Adopting dual carrier redundancy offers significant advantages for both international and domestic voice service providers. For global telecom and UCaaS providers, managing hundreds of carrier relationships across different countries can be complex. Symbio simplifies this by offering access to two networks through a single commercial relationship, reducing operational overhead while maintaining service reliability.

For Australian telecom providers, contact centres & BPOs, and voice aggregators, dual carrier redundancy ensures high availability and resilience without the need to manage multiple carrier relationships. Domestic providers and contact centres can offer redundant voice services which are critical for maintaining revenue and SLA performance. Voice aggregators entering the Australian market also gain a competitive edge by accessing carrier-grade voice services through a single, simplified relationship with Symbio and Aussie Broadband.
