Aussie Broadband to open new Traralgon office hub
Media Release | Thursday 22 May 2025 | 2 min read

Aussie Broadband is proud to announce the development of a brand-new office hub in Traralgon, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to the Gippsland region.
Located on Grey Street, the space sits just outside the Traralgon centre and will replace Aussie’s current offices on Hazelwood Drive and Electra Avenue in Morwell. The new site is nearly double the combined space of Aussie’s current Gippsland offices.
“As Aussie Broadband has grown, we have realised that we have also outgrown our current facilities in Morwell. While these facilities have served us well, our rapid growth means we need to adapt our environment to make sure our people can continue to do what they do best,” said Aussie Broadband Chief People and Reputation Officer, Jane Betts.
“Aussie's roots are deeply connected to the La Trobe Valley and East Gippsland, so upgrading our facilities while remaining within the heart of the region made the most sense for us. Beyond Aussie's ties to the region, we see the location of the new Traralgon office as a potential talent magnet and one that would provide some great opportunities for us to partner with the community to set up real career opportunities in tech.”
The new office space will also allow Aussie Broadband to explore opportunities to build stronger connections with the region's community and not-for-profit partners that it supports through the Helping Communities Connect program, with a focus on digital empowerment and support.
“It is wonderful to watch Aussie Broadband go from strength-to-strength, from their beginnings in Morwell to now - over 20 years later - operating as a competitive service provider,” said Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dale Harriman.
“We are proud to support this growth right here in Latrobe City, with their new hub in Traralgon set to support over 250 staff from 2026. We look forward to seeing the expansion bring even more success for Aussie Broadband as the Telco people love.”
Key features of the new hub include:
Office area of 3,400m² on a single-level, open-plan layout
Accommodates 300 desks (100 more than current), with 50% electric standing desks.
More rooms for meetings, training, and Room of Any Requirement (ROAR) sessions.
A spacious 270m² lunchroom for 40–50 people.
Fully compliant with accessibility standards.
Served by 165 parking spaces, and within walking distance of Traralgon Railway Station and Traralgon Central Plaza.
The office will have a 5-star NABERS rating, aligning with Aussie’s ESG goals and accessibility standards.
Houses a bicycle cage and end-of-trip facilities.
Designed by Cachet Group, meaning a high-quality modern fit out.
