Aussie Broadband is delighted to announce that grant applications are now open for year two of its Community Cricket Tech Fund, supported by Cricket Australia, with $100,000 available across two rounds.

This year’s fund will supply clubs with an iPad 11 and case, along with one 5G SIM plan for 12 months. These are practical tech additions to help clubs with admin, tuck-shop, or other club activities.

Aussie Broadband EGM Marketing, Product & Brand Rebecca Rizzo said the fund would help alleviate some of the tech burdens grassroots cricket clubs experience.

“Upon launching our Community Cricket Tech Fund earlier this year, we have supported 36 grassroots cricket clubs across Australia with practical technology additions that remove cumbersome admin tasks and allow them to focus on championing a love for the game of cricket,” she said.

“Whether they are looking for easier ways to score matches, remove ageing hardware, record match statistics, or simply create a more connected, inclusive cricket experience for families across communities, we encourage clubs to apply.”

Cricket Australia Chief Commercial Officer Ed Sanders said the grant is delivering a positive impact across grassroots cricket.

“We were thrilled to see such a positive response to the Aussie Broadband Community Cricket Technology Fund in its first season. 36 clubs were able to benefit from improved technology access, which has helped the work of volunteers at grassroots level," he said.

“We look forward to year two of the grant and, together with Aussie Broadband, helping more clubs connect and enjoy an enhanced experience with technology and cricket administration.

“With Aussie Broadband contributing $300,000 to the fund over three years, we will see a significant impact for community cricket clubs across Australia.”

Applications will remain open until 5:00PM AEDT, December 7, 2026. Successful clubs of the first intake will be notified on 15 December 2026, with the second round of grants scheduled to open in early January. Unlisted clubs will be passed on to Cricket Australia for verification. Previous grant recipients are not eligible to receive one of these grants.
