Aussie Broadband is delighted to announce that it has renewed and expanded its partnership with the Melbourne Stars ahead of the upcoming Big Bash season.
The company, which partnered with the Stars for the first time last December, has renewed its Principal Partnership with the Big Bash League (BBL) squad and expanded its relationship to be Premier Partner of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) squad.
The partnership will see Aussie Broadband’s branding appear prominently on all playing and training uniforms together with a range of digital and at-venue positions. The new partnership with the WBBL squad will also see Aussie’s branding appear on the WBBL jersey sleeve.
Managing Director Phillip Britt said the company was pleased to renew and expand its relationship with the club ahead of a fantastic season of Big Bash cricket.
“We’re delighted to extend our partnership with the Melbourne Stars for the upcoming BBL season. We really enjoyed cheering the WBBL Stars to the finals last season, and it’ll be great watching them in a summer that is definitely shaping up to be another action-packed Australian cricket season,” Phil said.
“We’re also proud to support both the men and women representing the Stars, as athletes and game changers for their work in raising awareness on mental health and sustainability – two areas very close to our hearts as well.
“We’re proudly wearing our Aussie Green so…Go Stars!” he said.
Aussie Broadband is an award-winning Australian company with more than 400,000 residential, business and enterprise customers, and is the fifth largest provider of NBN services in Australia today.
The company prides itself on award-winning customer service. The telco was recognised for customer service in the Australian Service Excellence Awards (ASEAs) last year, the ACOMM Award for Commitment to Customer Service (2019 & 2020), and Canstar Blue’s national awards. Aussie was also named 2020 Internet Service Provider of the Year by Roy Morgan.
Melbourne Stars General Manager Blair Crouch said the support from Aussie Broadband had been outstanding.
“When it was signed last year, this partnership was the first of its kind for Aussie Broadband in major professional sport. Aussie Broadband’s belief in our brand and what we can achieve together has been fundamental to building our relationship. Aussie Broadband came on board last year with a range of impacts arising from the pandemic and through all of that, their support and understanding has simply been fantastic,” Crouch said.
“We’re really enthusiastic and optimistic that we’ll be able to do more this summer and really connect our members and fans with the great work Aussie Broadband does and the service they provide to the community,” he said.
“It’s a testament to the great performances of our women’s squad and the importance Aussie Broadband places on women’s sport that they have chosen to expand their position with the club to our WBBL team. We look forward to involving both our squads in a range of campaigns to support Aussie Broadband’s growth moving forward,” Crouch added.
