Aussie Broadband (ASX: ABB) has achieved a significant milestone, reaching more than 1 million broadband connections across its residential, business, enterprise, government and wholesale markets.

The milestone reflects Aussie Broadband’s strong growth to become one of Australia’s leading retail and wholesale telecommunications providers, and the ongoing demand for its high-quality connectivity and Australian-based support for residential customers.

“Our mission has always been to ‘Change the Game’ for our customers, and surpassing 1 million broadband connections is a clear indication that our approach still resonates,” Aussie Broadband Group CEO Brian Maher said. “Our customers continue to tell us how much they value our local support, reliable service and for being a provider that always does what it says it will do."

Aussie Broadband has continued to expand from its regional Victorian roots  into an international business, scaling its own fibre and voice network and broadening its suite of services across data, voice, mobile and security solutions. The company, which acquired Over the Wire, Symbio and more recently AGL Telco and Nexgen, is now one of the largest providers of NBN services in Australia and operates two Tier 1 voice networks, providing greater control over quality, reliability and fault resolution for customers.

“Aussie's growth over the years has always followed a simple ethos: doing the right thing by our customers, every time, every day, for the past 23 years,” Maher added. “We’re excited about what the next chapter holds for Aussie, and we’re grateful for every customer who has been on this journey with us.”

The milestone was achieved in mid-May and comes as Aussie’s team continues the parallel migration of More and Tangerine NBN services onto the Aussie Broadband network which will be completed on schedule in June. Aussie will also be merging an estimated further 210,000 broadband connections onto its network in the first half of FY27, following Aussie’s acquisition of AGL Telco and its customer assets.
