Aussie Broadband acts as a reseller and uses the 5G and 4G mobile network and capabilities of the Optus Mobile Network to provide our mobile services. Powered by the Optus Network, the mobile product of Aussie Broadband provides 4G coverage that reaches 98% of the Australian population. 5G coverage is being rolled out and currently only available in selected areas (excl. NT). You can check your address on our coverage map.

Data pooling allows all of your “Tier 2” (Saver, Value, and Essential) plan services on the same account and all of your “Tier 1” (Premium) plan services on the same account to combine their data and create a 'pool' that everyone can draw from.

For example, if you have the Value plan with 40GB of data while your kids have two Saver plans with 20GB of data each (all on the same account) all three of you actually have a 'pool' of 80GB to draw from, so if your kids go over their allotted 20GB, they can pull some of your 40GB.

An International Direct Dialling (IDD) credit is included with the following plans:

• $50 for the 40GB plan
• $300 for the 100GB plan
• $200 for the 120GB plan

IDD credit can be used to call applicable countries. For all Aussie Broadband 4G and 5G mobile plans, international calls will be charged on a PAYG (Pay As You Go) basis once any allocated IDD credit has been exhausted. Please refer to the international mobile call rates (opens in new tab) to see the call rate per country.

Yes, we offer International Mobile Roaming for just $5 a day to over 150 Zone 1 destinations, and pay-as-you-go rates to most other destinations.

Yes, and it's easier than you think. Once you have received your SIM, you will have the option to bring your current number over to us. Simply activate your SIM here, or call our friendly customer support team on 1300 880 905, and you will be presented with the option of porting your number.

Please note: if you are thinking of switching from another provider and are currently in a contract, we recommend checking with them for charges associated with ending your current contract early.

Unfortunately, eSIM is currently not available on Aussie Broadband. However, we are working hard to add them to our product range in future. eSIM is a digital technology that allows compatible devices to connect without a physical SIM card inserted into the device.
