What are international roaming destinations and zones?

Zones
Overseas destinations are grouped into “zones”, with each zone having different international mobile roaming (IMR) inclusions.
Zone 1
Uses a day pack of inclusions to use within a 24-hour period. Day packs cost $5, and you’re only charged for days you use international roaming.
A day pack includes:
o 5GB of data to use within Zone 1 countries.
o Unlimited calls and SMSs to numbers within Zone 1 countries (including back to Australia).
Zone 2
Offers Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) calls, SMS, and data – charges vary depending on the country.
Not all Zone 2 countries offer PAYG data. Check destinations below for more info.
Zone 3
Offers PAYG calls, SMS, and data – charges vary depending on the country.
Includes Maritime, Satellite and International Waters destinations.

Voice & Video Calls rates are shown per minute and charged with an initial increment of 60 seconds and per 30 seconds thereafter.
GST does not apply to roaming charges (with the exception of the standard SMS, MMS, international SMS and international MMS rates).
How to view international roaming zones in MyAussie
From 27 May 2026, you can check a destination’s IMR zone in MyAussie:
Log in to the MyAussie® via the mobile app or web portal. You can download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Note: You can find your login details in your order confirmation email. Otherwise, select Forgot your username? or Forgot your password? in the MyAussie login page.Scroll down to select International Roaming. You can view the details and destinations of each zone by selecting Search destinations in Zone Number and entering a country.
