eero Secure adds security and safety services to your network, such as active threat protection and parental controls. It can also give you deeper insights into your network usage and improves your internet experience by blocking ads.
Whether you’re setting up eero Secure for the first time or looking to get more from your Secure subscription, we’ve got you covered with the steps to set up features quickly and easily.
Features of the eero Secure Subscription internet backup eero Internet Backup allows you to set up a nearby mobile hotspot or Wi-Fi network as a backup when your wired internet goes down. Once enabled, eero Internet Backup will look for and connect to the available and compatible backup source you’ve set, keeping you online to focus on what matters most.

How to setup Internet Backup In your eero app, tap on Internet , then eero Internet Backup.
Make sure your backup network is available (if you are using a mobile hotspot, make sure it is turned on), then tap Add a backup network.
Select Search networks, and then tap on your backup network when it appears on the list.
Follow the prompts to add your password and complete setup.
You should now see your backup network on the main Internet Backup screen.
Note: You can add up to 8 backup networks by simply repeating this process.

How to turn on Advanced Security Go to the Discover tab in the eero app, and click on eero Secure .
Scroll down to the Network section.
Toggle on Advanced Security .
ad blocking Improve your browsing and streaming experience by blocking ads on your devices.
How to turn on Ad Blocking Go to the Discover tab in the eero app, and click on eero Secure .
Scroll down to the Network section.
Toggle on Ad Blocking .
Note: If you are experiencing issues with pages loading incorrectly or not at all, try turning Ad Blocking off.
profiles Create profiles so that you can set custom schedules, control internet access, and apply content filters by profile.
How to create a profile From the home tab, click on the Blue Plus in the top right.
Select Add a Profile from the pop-up menu.
Add a profile name.
Select which devices to add to the profile.
Tap Done .
content filters Set restrictions for designated devices based on age or content categories.
How to setup Content Filters (from Discover tab) From the Discover tab, click on eero Secure .
Scroll down to the Profiles section, and select Content filters .
Select the profile for which you want to set up content filters.
Tap the desired filter level and click Apply .
Toggle on/off individual content filter categories as desired.

Tap the desired filter level and click Apply .
Toggle on/off individual content filter categories as desired.
allow & block sites Prevent particular websites from displaying on certain family members’ devices.
How to add a blocked site From the Discover tab, click on eero Secure .
Scroll down to the Profiles section, and select Block & Allow Sites .
Tap Add Blocked Site .
Enter the URL of the website you wish to block.
Select the Profiles for which you want to block the site (or select Network to block it for all users on the network).
To add an allowed site, follow these same steps but toggle to the "Allowed" tab and select "Add Allowed Site" on Step 3.
data usage View historical data usage by profile or device with daily, weekly, or monthly snapshots.
How to view Data Usage activity From the Activity tab, tap on the Data Usage block.
Navigate between the Day , Week , and Month tabs, and the Profiles and Devices tabs.
Select a profile or device to view more details.
activity centre See how many scans eero Secure has performed and how many threats it has blocked.
How to view Scans and Treat Blocks activity From the Activity tab, tap on the Scans or Threat blocks block.
Navigate between the Day , Week , and Month tabs.
Select a top device to view more details.
notifications Manage which eero Secure notifications you receive.
How to manage notifications From the Settings tab, select Notifications .
