NS-02 CloudMesh Satellite Setup Guide
Last Updated: Wednesday 19 Aug 2026
The NS-02 CloudMesh Satellite is a Wi-Fi mesh extender that is compatible with the CloudMesh range of NetComm modems and routers, such as the NF20MESH.
The CloudMesh Satellite can pair with a compatible CloudMesh Gateway or CloudMesh router using either:
WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup™), or
An Ethernet cable for a more reliable setup method if WPS pairing is unsuccessful.
Before you begin
Place the NS-02 Satellite next to your CloudMesh router.
Connect power to both devices and switch them on.
Wait for both devices to finish powering up before starting the pairing process.
Confirm that your CloudMesh router is connected to the internet before proceeding.
Connecting your NS-02 using the WPS button
Press and release the WPS button on the rear of the NS-02 Satellite. The LED on the front should flash purple to indicate that it is in pairing mode.
Note: WPS pairing mode remains active for approximately two minutes.
While the NS-02 Satellite LED is still flashing purple, press and release the WPS button on your CloudMesh Gateway or router.
Note: The pairing process can take up to five minutes to complete. During this process, the LED may change to pink to indicate that pairing is in progress.
When pairing has completed successfully, the NS-02 Satellite LED will display the connection signal strength. Refer to the LED indicator table below to confirm the quality of the connection.
Position your NS-02 Satellite in your desired location and begin using your mesh Wi-Fi network.
If the LED continues flashing blue and does not connect to the mesh network after an extended period, try the ethernet cable pairing method below.
| LED colour | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Solid white | Good signal | The NS-02 is in a good location. |
| Solid blue | Medium signal | The location is suitable, but you can move the device closer if you need a stronger signal. |
| Solid red | Poor signal | Move the NS-02 Satellite closer to the CloudMesh router. |
| Flashing blue | No signal. The device is too far from the router or isn't connected to the mesh network. | Move the NS-02 Satellite closer to the router or pair it again. |
| Flashing purple | WPS pairing mode active | Press the WPS button on the CloudMesh router before the pairing window closes. |
| Flashing pink | Pairing in progress | Wait for pairing to complete. |
| Solid pink | Paired successfully, but no internet connection | Check the internet connection on the CloudMesh router. |
Connecting your NS-02 using an ethernet cable
Plug the ethernet cable into any of the LAN ports on the back of each device.
Allow up to 10 minutes for the NS-02 Satellite to download pairing information from the CloudMesh router. The LED will turn solid green when this stage is complete.
Leave the Ethernet cable connected for 10 minutes, then disconnect the cable from both devices and wait another 10 minutes. During wireless pairing, the NS-02 Satellite LED may flash pink.
Move the NS-02 Satellite to the desired location and begin using the mesh Wi-Fi network. Use the LED indicator table below to choose a location with the strongest available signal.
