As the name suggests, a SIM-only plan just refers to the data, talk, text and any other add-ons of a mobile plan. No handset included.

A SIM-only plan pairs perfectly with your existing unlocked phone or even that new phone you have your eye on. As long as your phone is unlocked, our SIMs will work.

None of our SIM-only plans come with a contract, so you are free to change your plan as your needs change.

The mobile product of Aussie Broadband provides 4G and 5G coverage that reaches 98.5% of the Australian population. 5G is currently being rolled out and only available in selected areas (excl. TAS & NT).

Aussie Broadband utilises the Optus network for mobile services.

Data pooling allows all of your “Tier 2” (Saver, Value, and Essential) plan services on the same account and all of your “Tier 1” (Premium and Elite) plan services on the same account to combine their data and create a 'pool' that everyone can draw from.

For example, let's say you have the Value plan with 40GB of data, while your kids have two Saver plans with 20GB of data each, all on the same account. What this means is that all three of you actually have a 'pool' of 80GB to draw from, so if your kids go over their allotted 20GB, they can pull some of your 40GB.

Note: You cannot pool data between Tier 1 and Tier 2 plans. So, if in the above scenario, two other family members each had a 120GB Premium plan, that would form a Premium and Elite data pool of 240GB, separate from your 80GB Saver, Value and Essential data pool.

If you wish to make international phone calls, there are some important updates included with our new mobile plans to consider.

An International Direct Dialling (IDD) credit is included with the following plans:

• $50 for the 40GB plan
• $300 for the 100GB plan
• $200 for the 120GB plan
• $500 for the 220GB plan.

IDD credit can be used to call applicable countries. For all Aussie Broadband 4G and 5G mobile plans, international calls will be charged on a PAYG (Pay As You Go) basis once any allocated IDD credit has been exhausted. Please refer to the international mobile call rates to see the call rate per country.

We will be automatically crediting all standard international call charges for calls made from Australia to Ukraine, on either a VoIP or mobile service, between 04/04/2022 and at least 30/06/2022. Calls previously charged between 28/02/2022 and 04/04/2022 will be retroactively credited.

We currently don't offer international roaming.

Absolutely! You can upgrade your plan anytime by either calling our wonderful customer support team on 1300 880 905, or by going to the MyAussie® app/portal.

Yes! Once you have received your SIM, you will have the option to bring your current number over to us.

Simply activate your SIM here, or call our friendly customer support team on 1300 880 905, and you will be presented with the option of porting your number.

Please note: if you are thinking of switching from another provider and are currently in a contract, we recommend checking with them for charges associated with ending your current contract early.

No one wants to pay more money for data they don't end up using, and hitting that sweet spot when choosing the amount of data for your mobile plan can be unnecessarily difficult.

Unfortunately, eSIM is currently not available on Aussie Broadband. However, we are working hard to add them to our product range in future.

eSIM is a digital technology that allows compatible devices to connect without a physical SIM card inserted into the device.
